Website redesign for Kansai’s main TV broadcaster
Balance of the sunny, positive atmosphere of the Kansai region with clear structure
wireframes, visual concept, UX/Ui design
Sunterebi, a TV company, has its own mascot (named Ossan) with a recognizable style associated with television in the Kansai region. Therefore, I decided to use its image as the basis for the design, incorporating the brand's signature yellow color and bold black outlines for accent elements.
To add more "Kansai" energy and positivity, I also incorporated various patterns in yellow-brown tones as the background. This approach helped soften the brightness of the yellow and made the information easier to read.

It's important for visitors to find the information they need quickly, so I organized it into a convenient, clickable dashboard.
The client wanted to use a banner carousel, but was concerned that it might annoy users or that they wouldn’t have enough time to read all the information. As a solution, I suggested adding a play/pause button to give users control over the switching.
Since all users know and love Ossan, I also suggested adding a pop-up message from him, which could be used to notify about the weather or simply wish users a good day.
The client provided the results of a user survey, which I took into account when developing the site structure and organizing the information. During the analysis, I also noticed a heightened interest from the audience in news about the local baseball team, the Hanshin Tigers.
I suggested dedicating a separate tab within the latest news section on the homepage for the team. The client particularly liked this idea and approached it creatively — now the website features a full blog about the team with regular updates.
